Only 45 or so minutes left. Fridays are always the hardest to get through, becuase I know I'm almost free, but not yet.  I have work to do, but I keep bored. lol. Time is going by soooooo slooooooow. *sigh* The day's nearly over though. But I'm all restless which makes it harder to focus on my work. oh well. I shall get through it!  

Closing in on a half hour left.  Been emailing my roommate, she's pretty cool.  We might meet up before we move-in. Since she's coming to Long Beach a week before school starts. That should be cool.

Ok, I have nothing else to say. Lol.

Half the week gone (half the week to go, depending on your perspective ). And school is a week and a half away, I think. Ooh, I went looking for housing info on my school website and I can check-in online. I don't think we had that last year. Or if we did...I didn't know about it.  I also found out the name of my roommate...and I have her email. I should email her and start chatting with her and get to know her. I, also, need to advise her to get a fridge, since I already have a microwave. lol. I think she's from Singapore...the end of her email is .sg. But I don't know for sure. I'll find out soon enough. I wonder if she's a freshman? My last roommate was... That would be interesting...I kind of hope she's older though. But either way should be cool. It's cool that I can email her though. I'll do that after I finish writing this.

I can't believe this is my last year! CRAZY! heh. I'll have to go out into the real world after this year of school. Whoa.  I'm sure I'll manage though. heh. In a way, I'm not where I thought I'd be. My assumption had been that I would go to a UC (Irvine, at least. But LA was my goal. There was a time I was even aiming for Ivy Leagues! *guffaws* lol.)...and I had never thought I would be a marketing major. lol. And in high school, I actually thought that at this point, I'd be a few steps away from marriage. I'd assumed that by the time I started grad school, I'd be married already. But priorities change and, opportunities come in the oddest forms. As the saying goes, when one door closes, another opens. And a bunch of opportunities have come that I hadn't even thought of.

This next year is all about hope and change.

sleepy

I have work to do, but it's hard to concentrate when you're sleepy and hungry. Heh. I might take lunch early today because I keep thinking about food. I figure, I might be less sleepy and tired if I eat something. I'm attempting to wake myself up by doing something a little more interesting than work, it worked yesterday and the day before. And once I was more awake, it was a lot easier to concentrate.  

*Need food* I'll try to wait until the time I normally take lunch...but I think I'm going to end up eating an hour earlier. Heh. Which sucks, because then I'll have more time after lunch until I get out. Oh well. Whatever.

In other news, weekend's here!! Woot woot! Always looking forward to my weekends.  Man, working everyday is hard. lol. But it does give me something to do. Otherwise I would've been uber lazy this summer. And going back to school doesn't seem so bad since it wasn't like I was just lounging around all summer anyway. Just one work to another type of work.

Best get back to work.

Argh, I should've come to work early today, instead I was late. *sigh*  I'll get better. I might stay late to make up. I need to make back the money I lost by going to jury duty *grumble grumble*. Thank goodness I wasn't picked for the trial. I would've missed so much work. But I still missed two days of work, which sucked. At least I get my paycheck tomorrow. But it's gonna look sad since it'll be minus one day of work. Oh well.

I should start writing some of the stories that I have running around in my head. The problem is, I'm good at coming up with a particular scene...but I have a more difficult time coming up with an entire storyline. But maybe if I have enough scenes, I can piece together a story. lol. We'll see. This is why I'm better at fanfiction, because the characters and story are already made. lol. I've got one written, it was a gift to my dear Romina.  But I want to go back and tweak some stuff. And I may write a few more fanfictions...I meant to start another one, but never went through with it. The fanfictions I wanted to write are one-shots, exactly what I'm good at writing.  There's a darker story idea that I've had for awhile...but I only have a vague idea of what I want the story to be. I need to create some sort of plot for it. And I probably need to do a good amount of research (blah). It's an idea that keeps coming back though...would be interesting. I may do a little bit for it today...

Other than that, not much going on.

Waiting for my boss to give me work. I'm going to get spoiled if I never get work to do, because than I'm going to expect every job to be like this. lol. At least I'm not getting coffee for people...but still. I'm going to try and see if I can become a marketing intern here, otherwise I'm going to be looking for a new internship probably.

School starts in a few weeks...blah. Last year though...scary and exciting, I guess.

Meh , I don't really feel like typing much today. *tired*  I need to start sleeping earlier. I'll do it at some point. Lol.  

I wonder if Borders or Barnes & Noble can order books from the UK? I want UK editions of all of Harry Potter, and also I want the UK edition of The Tales of Beedle the Bard. I think shipping sucks if I try to get it sent here from Amazon UK...and I don't think the Amazon US has the ones I want...
